As an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP) and holder of a Master's Degree in Photography, Richard combines extensive photographic expertise with an original academic background in architecture. This unique combination gives him an in-depth understanding of building design, construction, materials and spatial relationships, enabling him to capture architecture and interiors with precision and insight.
Professional Architectural, Interior & Building Photography
Richard provides high-quality architectural photography and interior photography for architects, interior designers, property developers, estate and real estate professionals, construction companies and building managers.
Using professional photographic equipment and specialist techniques, he produces carefully composed images that communicate the design intent, quality and character of buildings, interiors and architectural details. His photography is suitable for websites, marketing brochures, portfolios, publications, social media and promotional campaigns.
Aerial Photography & High-Level Building Photography
Richard is commercially qualified to operate drones, providing aerial photography to showcase buildings, sites and developments from distinctive perspectives. Where drone photography is restricted or unsuitable, he also uses a specialist photographic mast to capture high-level images, offering a practical alternative for locations where drones are not permitted.
Building Products & Construction Photography
Architectural photography extends beyond completed buildings. Richard also photographs building products, materials, components and construction details, both in factory environments and in situ. 2026 PRICES
Prices are based on £420 per day plus travel from Birmingham. Half days (for sites up to 60 miles from Birmingham) are £290 plus travel.

Richard Ellis retains copyright in all images taken by him. However, he will licence the images to specific third parties (for example, if you are an architect, such parties might include the interior designer and building contractor) without further charge.
